What makes it so nice to spend the night at our campsite? Well, that is different for everyone. The one person likes all the greenery on and around the campsite, the other loves the fact that you can go to the center of Amsterdam so quickly and easily. The one person can't get enough of the knocking of a woodpecker or the screaming of an owl and the other cannot wait to discover the catering establishments around the campsite. The bottom line is that we are lucky enough to be located in the Gardens of West, one of the last undiscovered gems of Amsterdam, from where you can also get to the center in no time. You hop on the bus or on your bike and before you know it you're walking along our ancient canals. Tired in the evening from an exciting day in the city..? Then settle down next to the campfire and doze off to the croaking of frogs in the background.

Around the corner

Camping Amsterdam City is located in the middle of all kinds of green initiatives. Almost next to us you'll find the Fruit Gardens of West where you can pick your own fruit and buy the most delicious pure natural products (https://fruittuinvanwest.nl/). Next to the Fruit Gardens again there is a flower picking garden, a food forest, an algae boat and an organic farm. Also around the corner of the campsite you will find the loveliest catering facility in Amsterdam: De Cantina Amsterdam West ( https://hetrijkvandekeizer.nl/cantina/ ). A great place to sit or hang out for a bit.

Amsterdam, Haarlem and the beach

Camping Amsterdam City is a perfect base for all kinds of trips. You can be in the center of Amsterdam within 25 minutes, but also in the center of Haarlem. Two of the most beautiful cities in our country. You can be lying on the beach of Zandvoort or Bloemendaal in half an hour. Right next to the campsite is the Spaarnwoude recreation area with an 18-hole golf course and idyllic spots for swimming and recreation. The Sloterplas is only 10 minutes away, a tiny lake where you can rent a (sailing) boat or surfboard and enjoy a lovely swim.
